Preparation of Cultivation Bags for Broadleaf Coral Mushroom Bag Cultivation

Preparation of Cultivation Bags for Broadleaf Coral Mushroom Bag Cultivation

1. Substrate Formula

  • Formula 1: Sawdust (70%), Corn Flour (28%), Calcium Carbonate (2%), Water Content (60%-65%), Natural pH.

  • Formula 2: Sawdust (76%), Bran (18%), Corn Flour (2%), Sugar (1.5%), Gypsum (1.5%), Superphosphate (1%), Water Content (60%-65%), Natural pH.

2. Mixing

Before use, sawdust should be sieved to remove bark and other debris to prevent puncturing the plastic bags, which can lead to contamination by unwanted microorganisms. Select the appropriate cultivation formula based on the production plan, accurately measure the proportions of all raw materials, and mix them with water evenly.

When mixing, pay attention to the following:

  • Due to the fine particle size of the sawdust used for coral mushroom cultivation, and the fact that sawdust is not completely dry during actual production, thorough mixing with corn flour and other additives is crucial (a two-stage mixing process is recommended) to prevent clumping of the substrate.

  • If a three-stage mixing process is used, the frictional heat generated by particle movement may cause acidification of the substrate.
